Many of our clients come to us having an existing brand that "worked" for quite some time... until it didn't anymore. A Day Studios Brand Elevation is perfect for Businesses or Solopreneurs who are:
At the root of all of these issues is the same two-fold cause:
Brands like these have gained good [sometimes great!] traction with what they've built so far. But, a tighter, more purposeful brand strategy and identity brings laser focus to everything they do... company-wide.
This kind of internal alignment:
After officially booking, the process for a Brand Elevation project includes the following phases:
We'll define what success looks like for the project, establish known needs, hypothesize about potential issues, and create an overall game plan.
This is when Day Studios really digs into your business! We'll assess your online presence (website + socials), creative assets, anything and everything you've got that you feel represents your brand as you know it today.
Additionally, we'll use this phase to assess and define the key personality traits we'll use as a basis for the Brand Elevation. We know this can sound scary. But, don't worry—Dana is not a licensed therapist (on purpose!), so we'll only focus on the traits related to your brand.
While we won't be digging in to process childhood trauma, this phase does require some vulnerability on your part— a willingness to be seen and to share your personality with your audience. If that's not your thing, we may not be the best fit for your project. But if you are, that's where the magic happens!
Once the madness has ended, we'll make sense of it all— determine what to keep or repurpose, and then propose a new direction to pivot to.
Our initial proposal will be a report of our findings and a suggested direction, but will turn into a highly-collaborative effort with you and any necessary stakeholders. After all, this will impact every piece of your business, so we'll need buy-in from all of the key decision-makers. Once we're in alignment, we'll get into the design phase.
Listen— we love surprises, but not with the new visual direction of your brand identity.
So, similar to the Pivot Proposal phase, the Visual Proposal will be an opportunity for you to weigh in and make any revisions to the proposed Creative Direction for your brand. We often find these revisions to be minimal, since there is always so much effort put into the research phases that by the time we get here, we're typically in total alignment.
The Brand Strategy Guide is your new bible— the rule and guide book your brand will live by from here on out.
It will contain all of our strategic and creative foundations for the brand, outlining in clear detail each aspect we've defined together. This is a crucial document, so that 1) You can refer to it often in order to maintain internal brand alignment, and 2) Anyone working in or on your brand can find alignment with it. These might include:
